Caminos de Acción Seeks New Board Members!

CdA has been blessed for years with incredible, passionate members on our board of directors. We are now in the position to add to our board, and we would love to have you join our team!

By joining CdA, you will have a direct impact on two rural communities in the department of La Paz in El Salvador where we are currently supporting scholarship, agriculture, and leadership programs. You will be joining a diverse team of educators, grant writers, and international development specialists. Review the points below to see if you’d be a good fit!

  • Mission Statement: Caminos de Acción works in solidarity with Salvadorans to facilitate community organization in order to address locally identified challenges in El Salvador including social, educational, and health related issues.

  • Type of Organization: Human Services, Low Income Assistance, Community Needs Assessments

  • Type of Board of Directors: Working board

  • We are looking for someone with expertise in: Fundraising, Finances and/or Communication

  • Desired industry affiliations or community connections: Latino organizations, Churches or interested in Latino/Salvadoran culture

  • Language Requirements: Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required

  • What is the designated term for board service? Three-year terms

  • How often does the board meet? Board meets bimonthly and if we are working on special projects, it could be monthly, but with the approval of the rest of the board members.

  • What personal or financial contribution is expected of each board member? Attend all meetings, help with special events and be a donor ($2,500 give-or-get).

  • Any additional board expectations: Support the mission of Caminos de Acción and be an active member of the organization with capacity to travel to El Salvador at least once during the three-year period as a board member.
