Chairs for the Community

Last month, Caminos de Acción (CdA) was part of a community effort realized by Tehuiste Arriba and Tehuiste Abajo to purchase over 20 chairs for their community meetings, especially during Water Committee meetings.

In order to raise funds for the chairs, the community sold “panes con pollo” or chicken sandwiches, a traditional dish eaten in El Salvador.

During the activity, people of the Tehuiste Arriba and Tehuiste Abajo enjoyed delicious “panes con pollo” and helped support their local community governance.

The chairs were long a necessity for community meetings and the Water Committee, especially when the whole community was invited. Now, yet another necessity has been solved with great satisfaction.
